Organic vegetables refer to the vegetable products produced strictly according to organic production procedure, natural law and ecological principles without any usage of chemo synthetic pesticide and fertilizer or genetic engineering biology and byproduct. However, the growing of organic vegetables is not as easy as expected. “Without the application of pesticide and fertilizer during the growth process of vegetables, the pests will eat at least two thirds vegetables in the field. I water and fertilize the vegetables and remove the weeds in the greenhouse everyday.” Zhang Yuqiu was working in the field and she said.
“I don’t want to become a traditional farmer who does farming just for a living. I want to become a farmer who is really interested in farming. And it is my biggest dream to provide everyone with safe and healthy organic food.”Zhang Yuqiu gave up the life lived in the metropolis, and back to the land as an organic farmer. “When I am working in the vegetable field, I am free of mind and happy of heart, so I don’t feel tired of farming.”
